1 Introduction

Welcome to RideParcel ("Platform", "App", "we", "us", or "our"). The Platform provides a digital interface connecting users who wish to share rides, offer rides, send parcels, or carry parcels.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.

2 Nature of the Platform

The Platform operates solely as a technology intermediary that connects independent users. The Company:

  • Does not own vehicles
  • Does not provide transportation services
  • Does not act as a logistics company

All rides and parcel deliveries occur directly between users.

3 User Eligibility

Only individuals who post or offer rides on the Platform are required to be 18 years of age or older and must comply with all applicable government regulations, licenses, and legal requirements.

Passengers using the Platform may include minors; however, the ride provider is solely responsible for deciding whether to accept passengers under 18 years of age.

If a ride provider chooses to accept children or minors, the ride provider assumes full responsibility for their safety and supervision. The Platform shall not be responsible for any decisions taken by ride providers regarding the acceptance of minors.

4 User Responsibilities

All users agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Use the Platform lawfully
  • Respect other users
  • Follow government-prescribed safety rules and traffic laws

Drivers or ride providers must ensure that:

  • Their vehicle is legally permitted for road use
  • Required licenses and documents are valid
  • Safety guidelines are followed

5 Parcel Policy

Users sending parcels must ensure that parcels:

  • Are properly packed
  • Do not contain illegal, hazardous, or restricted items
  • Comply with all applicable laws

The sender is responsible for the parcel contents.

6 Platform Disclaimer

The Platform only facilitates connections between users. The Company shall not be responsible for:

  • Misconduct of users
  • Accidents during rides
  • Parcel loss or damage
  • Violations of government regulations
  • Fraud or illegal activity conducted by users

All interactions between users occur at their own risk and responsibility.

7 Safety Guidelines

Users are advised to:

  • Verify vehicle and driver details
  • Share trip details with trusted contacts
  • Follow government safety regulations
  • Avoid sending prohibited parcels

Failure to follow safety guidelines may increase personal risk.

8 Payments

Payments may be facilitated through the Platform using integrated payment services. The Platform may charge service fees, commissions, or convenience fees where applicable.

9 Cancellations

Users may cancel bookings according to platform rules. Repeated cancellations, abuse of the system, or fraudulent behavior may lead to account suspension or termination.

10 Account Suspension

The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts if:

  • Fraud or illegal activity is suspected
  • Users violate safety guidelines
  • Users misuse the Platform

11 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform.

12 Changes to Terms

The Company may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

13 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

Additional Terms for Parcel Senders

1 Sender Responsibility

Users who send parcels ("Senders") are solely responsible for:

  • The contents of the parcel
  • Accurate description of the parcel
  • Proper packaging to prevent damage
  • Ensuring the parcel complies with all applicable laws and government regulations

The Platform shall not verify the contents of any parcel.

2 Prohibited Items

Senders must not send parcels containing:

  • Illegal items
  • Weapons or explosives
  • Drugs or controlled substances
  • Hazardous or flammable materials
  • Live animals
  • Cash, jewellery, or high-value items
  • Any item prohibited by law

If a prohibited item is discovered, the Platform may suspend the sender's account and report the matter to relevant authorities if required.

3 Packaging Requirements

Senders must ensure parcels are:

  • Properly sealed
  • Clearly labelled if fragile
  • Safe to transport

Improper packaging that results in damage or inconvenience to the carrier will be the sender's responsibility.

4 Sender Liability

The sender is responsible for:

  • Accuracy of parcel details
  • Compliance with applicable laws
  • Any damages caused by the parcel due to incorrect declaration or unsafe packaging

5 Platform Disclaimer

The Platform does not inspect, store, transport, or insure parcels. The Platform shall not be responsible for parcel loss, delay, damage, or misuse occurring during delivery between users.

Additional Terms for Parcel Carriers

1 Carrier Role

Parcel carriers ("Carriers") are independent users who voluntarily agree to transport parcels along their route. Carriers are not employees, agents, or partners of the Platform.

2 Acceptance of Parcels

Carriers have full discretion to:

  • Accept or decline parcel delivery requests
  • Inspect parcel packaging before accepting transport
  • Refuse parcels they consider unsafe or suspicious

3 Carrier Responsibilities

Carriers must:

  • Transport parcels responsibly
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws
  • Ensure safe handling during transport

Carriers should avoid accepting parcels that appear unsafe, illegal, or improperly packaged.

4 Liability of Carriers

Carriers may be responsible for parcel loss or damage only if negligence or misconduct is proven. Normal wear, delay due to traffic, or circumstances beyond control shall not constitute negligence.

5 Platform Role in Disputes

In case of disputes between senders and carriers, the Platform may assist in mediation by reviewing available trip or communication records. However, the Platform does not guarantee resolution or compensation.

Safety Reminder for All Users

All users are advised to:

  • Follow government-prescribed safety and transport regulations
  • Verify parcel details before accepting or sending
  • Avoid sending or carrying prohibited items

Failure to comply with safety guidelines may result in suspension of access to the Platform.
